Nei Guan, or “Inner Gate”, is a remarkably versatile and useful point. This point is very effective in treating psychoemotional disturbances such as insomnia or for calming the mind, it is also used to treat conditions of the chest. In Acupuncture, PC 6 is synonymous with treating nausea and vomiting, it is the “go-to” point for any type of nausea from post chemotherapy to morning sickness, or even seasickness. PC6 is located on the inner arm, two
thumb widths from the wrist crease, in between the two tendons. The tendons will be more prominent with a clenched fist (if you can only feel for one tendon, then locate this point on the ulnar/inner side of the tendon-the pinky side).
